History
A notoriously potent Southern punch, the Chatham Artillery Punch is named for the Chatham Artillery militia of Savannah, Georgia. The 19th-century recipe combines bourbon, rum and brandy with Champagne, and it earned a fearsome reputation for laying low the soldiers and dignitaries it was served to.
