Espresso Martini

Ingredients
- Vodka2 oz (60 ml)
- Espresso1 oz (30 ml)
- Kahlúa0.5 oz (15 ml)
- Simple Syrup0.25 oz (7.5 ml)
How to make it
- Shake all ingredients hard with ice to create a foam.
- Double strain into a chilled coupe.
- Garnish with three coffee beans.

History
The Espresso Martini was created by London bartender Dick Bradsell in the 1980s, reputedly when a young model asked for something to 'wake me up and... mess me up.' Originally called the Vodka Espresso, his vodka, coffee liqueur and fresh espresso drink became the defining caffeinated cocktail of its age.
