Ingredients
- Scotch Whisky1.5 oz (45 ml)
- Sweet Vermouth0.75 oz (22.5 ml)
- Dry Vermouth0.75 oz (22.5 ml)
- Angostura Bitters2 dashes
How to make it
- Stir all ingredients with ice.
- Strain into a coupe.

History
A Scottish cousin of the Manhattan, the Affinity appeared in the early 1900s and pairs Scotch whisky with equal parts dry and sweet vermouth plus bitters. The balance of the two vermouths makes it a 'perfect' cocktail, and it stands among the earliest documented Scotch-based stirred drinks.
