History
The Hemingway Daiquiri was created at El Floridita in Havana by master bartender Constantino Ribalaigua Vert for Ernest Hemingway, who, being diabetic, wanted his rum daiquiri without sugar. Ribalaigua added grapefruit and maraschino instead; the writer's double-strength version was nicknamed the 'Papa Doble.'
