History
The Old Pal is a drier, all-whiskey cousin of the Boulevardier — rye, dry vermouth and Campari — credited to Harry MacElhone of Harry's New York Bar in Paris and recorded in his 1920s books. It shares the Negroni's bittersweet backbone in a leaner, more austere form.
