History
The Ramos Gin Fizz was created by Henry C. Ramos at his Imperial Cabinet Saloon in New Orleans in 1888. A gin fizz enriched with cream, egg white, citrus and orange-flower water, it is famous for requiring a marathon shake to achieve its cloud-like texture — Ramos employed lines of 'shaker boys' to keep up with the crowds.
