Gin Fizz
A refreshing, effervescent gin cocktail. Add egg white for a Ramos variation.

Ingredients
- Gin2 oz (60 ml)
- Lemon Juice1 oz (30 ml)
- Simple Syrup0.75 oz (22.5 ml)
- Club Soda2 oz (60 ml)
How to make it
- Shake gin, lemon, and syrup with ice.
- Strain into a highball glass.
- Top with soda.

History
The Gin Fizz — gin, lemon, sugar and soda served tall — was a sensation in late-19th-century America, especially in New Orleans, where bars employed teams of bartenders to keep up with demand. Variations include the Silver Fizz (with egg white) and Golden Fizz (with egg yolk).
