History
The Pegu Club was the signature cocktail of the Pegu Club, a British officers' club near Rangoon in colonial Burma. Gin, orange curaçao, lime and bitters, it was praised in Harry Craddock's 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book as a drink 'that has travelled, and is asked for, round the world,' and it later lent its name to Audrey Saunders's influential New York bar.
