History
The Cable Car was created by Tony Abou-Ganim in the mid-1990s at the Starlight Room atop the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco. A spiced-rum sour with orange curaçao and a cinnamon-sugar rim, it was named for the city's iconic cable cars and became a signature of the era's cocktail renaissance.
