History
The White Lady is a gin sour with Cointreau and lemon, a cousin of the Sidecar. Harry MacElhone first mixed an earlier crème-de-menthe version around 1919, then refined it into the gin-based classic in the 1920s at Harry's New York Bar in Paris and later Ciro's in London.
